In 1932 Albert Einstein in Potsdam wrote to Sigmund Freud in
Vienna. Why war? the pioneering physicist asked the founder
of psychotherapy.
Was there a solution to this age-old catastrophe? Freud's response
was surprising.

Austrian
psychiatrist and founder of psychoanalysis. Born in Freiberg,
Moravia (today Pribor in the Czech Republic). Died in Hampstead,
London.
From 1860-1938 Freud lived in Vienna where in 1899 he heralded
a new century with his groundbreaking work The Interpretation
of Dreams.
From 1891 Freud lived and worked at Berggasse
19 in Vienna's 9th district.
